Hospital UFE: Best if you have serious medical problems, need possible overnight monitoring, or want everything in one big system (ICU, surgery backup). Downside: more layers, slower scheduling, higher facility fees, and a more “hospital” experience.
Outpatient/office UFE: Great for otherwise healthy patients who want a focused fibroid practice, faster access, and a calmer, more private setting. Lower overhead can mean lower out-of-pocket costs, especially for PPO / self-pay / out-of-network.
How to compare centers:
Experience: “How many #fibroid embolizations do you do per year?” (You want a high-volume UFE doctor.)
Who treats me? Board-certified interventional radiologist, and will you meet them before the day of the procedure?
Comfort & safety: What sedation is used? Who’s monitoring me? What’s the plan for pain and nausea afterward?
Follow-up: How many follow-up visits are included and who answers questions if I’m in pain at night?

🩺Board-certified IR, high volume: Procedures are done by an experienced interventional radiologist who routinely performs embolizations.

Powerful testimony of an RN with 30 uterine fibroids who was told that hysterectomy was her only option.
After seeing a close friend have an excellent result with Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) performed by Dr. Allaei, she decided to get a second opinion. Following a thorough evaluation, she chose non-surgical fibroid embolization instead of hysterectomy — and had all 30 fibroids treated in a single visit.
Our doctor treats complex cases and failed prior treatment redos.

How many fibroids are too many for the UFE? The short answer is there is no maximum number. Patients who are looking to preserve their uterus and have too many fibroids are ideal candidates for the UFE procedure.
Our doctor is one of the top embolization experts that through his experience has created his own technique and process to improve recovery time, limit post-op pain while getting the results that you need. Additionally, he is an expert at the radial technique that makes recovery so much easier!
✨Over 90% of patients and millions worldwide have been treated successfully.
✨Can be performed through the arm (trans-radial), which can be much more comfortable and low risk for patients.
💉Surgery is not your only option. Don’t wait until your fibroids grow even larger.

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain 👣. It affects millions of people and can be especially stubborn in those with chronic symptoms that don’t improve with rest, physical therapy, or injections.
#PlantarFasciitis can cause sharp heel pain 🙁 (often worse in the morning or after standing/walking) and may interfere with daily activities, exercise, and quality of life.
Embolization is a cutting-edge non-surgical outpatient treatment that targets the abnormal blood vessels contributing to chronic inflammation of the plantar fascia. It’s done under local numbing and essentially pain-free.
Through a tiny IV like catheter our doctor targets the small vessels around the heels. These abnormal vessels are then close using an absorbable solution through a special technique to reduce inflammation and promote healing.
✨ No surgery required
✨ No stitches
✨ No major incision
✨ No general anesthesia
✨ Quick recovery
You walk out the same day with just a Band-Aid 👏🏻.
Our doctor is a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist who is trained in embolization techniques and offers this advanced option for heel pain.

✨ Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS) is a hidden but very real cause of chronic pelvic pain in women. It happens when varicose veins develop around the uterus and ovaries.
💡 This patient underwent a non-surgical treatment called Pelvic Vein Embolization — where we use tiny coils and a sclerosant foam to close off those abnormal veins.
📈 Studies show embolization can significantly reduce pain and improve quality of life for women with PCS.
💜 What is Pelvic Congestion Syndrome?
• Varicose veins of the pelvis (like varicose veins in the legs, but around the ovaries/uterus).
• Occurs in up to 15% of women, especially those with multiple pregnancies.
• Symptoms: chronic pelvic pain 😣, heaviness, pain worse after standing, during/after sex, or around periods.
✨ Why Embolization?
• Outpatient procedure ✔️
• No stitches, no big incision ✔️
• No general anesthesia ✔️
• Quick recovery ✔️
• Walk out with just a Band-Aid 👏
👉 If you have chronic pelvic pain that hasn’t been explained, ask about pelvic congestion
Our doctor is an image-guided specialist — a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist with specialized training in embolization.

After a thorough evaluation by Dr Allaei at the CVI Fibroid Center she was correctly diagnosed with adenomyosis and fibroids.
If this patient underwent fibroid removal surgery, the surgeons would have been in for a big surprise. Fibroid removal would not have helped this patient and she may have succumbed to organ loss of hysterectomy. Fortunately she found Dr Allaei and had success with non-surgical UAE.
The UAE procedure is a non-surgical option that treats all fibroids and adenomyosis in one session through its blood supply. This FDA approved treatment has been accepted as an effective alternative to surgery by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been around for over 20 years!!

Live procedure of kidney tumor ablation 👨⚕️🔥
𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?
A specialized probe is precisely placed into the tumor using imaging guidance. Energy is then applied to destroy the tumor from the inside, while surrounding organs are carefully protected.
In this case, you’ll see three needles used during treatment:
1️⃣ Ablation probe — delivers energy to destroy the tumor
2️⃣ Protective needle — infuses sterile fluid and air to safely displace nearby organs and prevent injury
3️⃣ Biosy needle
All performed with CT imaging guidance and meticulous planning.
Why patients choose ablation:
✔ No major surgery
✔ No large incision or stitches
✔ No general anesthesia in many cases
✔ Minimal scarring
✔ Rapid recovery — often home the same day
What conditions can be treated with ablation?
Thyroid nodules, liver tumors, kidney tumors, lung lesions, bone tumors, and select soft-tissue lesions.
Ablation is a safe, effective, and minimally invasive alternative to surgery for properly selected patients.
Always consult a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist experienced in ablation techniques to determine candidacy.

🌍 I recently visited the IR Clinic in Tokyo, Japan where a lot of papers on joint embolization originated. Medicine requires an ongoing commitment to learning to ensure that our patients receive the most advanced care available.
Millions of people live with chronic joint and tendon pain — from frozen shoulder that limits daily activity, to knee arthritis that makes every step hurt, to plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendinopathy that stop you from staying active. For years, the main options were medications, injections, or surgery. But now there’s another path: embolization.
👩⚕️ What is embolization?
Embolization is a minimally invasive procedure performed by an Interventional Radiologist. Using advanced imaging, a catheter is guided through a tiny pinhole in the wrist or groin into the blood vessels that supply the painful area. Dissolvable particles are released to block the abnormal blood flow that fuels pain and inflammation — all while sparing healthy tissue.
✨ Patients go home the same day. No stitches. Less downtime. No large incisions. Just targeted treatment and lasting relief.
✅ Conditions that can benefit:
• Frozen shoulder → better motion and pain relief
• Knee arthritis → less pain, more mobility, fewer surgeries
• Plantar fasciitis → relief from stubborn heel pain when other therapies fail
• Achilles tendinopathy → reduced pain and improved tendon function
📲 No need for you to go to Japan. We have been doing these treatments here in Los Angeles. Contact today to learn if embolization could be the solution for you
